Woman’s Summit and Congress

27 July 2025

by Pastor Nun Saicholkhongsuk - Thai Congregation Pastor

I am especially grateful to God for the opportunity to attend the 2025 Baptist World Women’s Summit and the 23rd Baptist World Congress, held from 7–12 July 2025 in Brisbane, Australia. The theme this year is “Living the Good News.” This was my first time attending and I felt both excited and deeply encouraged.

During the first two days of the Baptist World Women’s Summit, around 1,000 participants from all corners of the world gathered. Reports were presented from the seven continental unions of women’s ministries: Baptist Women of the Pacific, Asia Baptist Women’s Union, Baptist Women’s Union of Africa, Caribbean Baptist Women’s Union, European Baptist Women United, Unión Femenil Bautista de América Latina, and Baptist Women of North America. Praise God for how He is using women’s ministries to proclaim the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

On this occasion, I had the opportunity to attend Bible studies and breakout sessions on topics such as Resilience Under Pressure: Understanding and Addressing Compassion Fatigue and The Road to Success, which were very helpful for the ministry and applying to various life situations. I also had the chance to hear inspiring life stories of global women leaders through interviews.

At the 23rd Baptist World Congress, approximately 3,000 participants attended. Many prominent global leaders preached the Word of God, and numerous Bible study sessions were offered, allowing attendees to choose topics that matched their interests.

As for me, I participated in the Preaching Symposium twice, where several preachers shared their insights. Rick Warren from the USA served as the facilitator. I would like to take this opportunity to share some of the key content I received from Rick Warren as follows:

What was the business of Jesus?

  1. Preaching the Good News (Luke 4:43)

  1. Teaching Disciples (Mark 3:14, Matthew 4:19)

  1. Healing the suffering (Matthew 4:24, Luke 4:18-19)

  1. Praying Continually (Luke5:15-16)

  1. Building His Church (Matthew 16:18)

Our job is to continue the same task Jesus began. We are living the Good News.

Throughout the six days and five nights, I stayed at the same accommodation with a team of 12 women from Papua New Guinea. I thank God for the opportunity to get to know them, spend time together, and encourage one another in our roles as women serving the Lord for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I would like to thank my Central Baptist Church family for giving me the opportunity to attend this event, for your prayers, and for your wonderful support throughout this journey. May God bless you abundantly and may He continue to be glorified forever.
